tcregan: Whoever said this… yes. I hate that churches are tax free, yet I pay my taxes like any other American and I cannot get married. But these religious nutters get away with not pay any taxes and seem to have a great big say in who I can marry. When basic human rights are being infringed upon, it’s threatening the core values of what our country was founded on. Y’know. Freedom. The pursuit of happiness.

Filed under this see I'm Catholic so by my religion I'm gonna marry a guy or no one at all but i just don't understand it when we try to stop gay marriage because not everyone is Catholic so not everyone believes in the same thing and we really shouldn't force them to not marry and idk it just never made sense to me i can see churches not wanting to marry same-sex couples since that's not what they believe in but no need to outlaw it EVERYWHERE
